My Path to Teaching
I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I decided to become a teacher. I do not come from a family of teachers. When I was a child, I told everyone I was going to be a scientist. Even in college I was on a path to be a pharmacist or psychiatrist. Then I had my “ah-ha” moment. While in college I worked as a “Mad Scientist”, delivering high interest science instruction to children after school. I loved it. I also interned at a pharmacy. I did not love it. I decided I wanted to love what I do. That is why I become a teacher.
