Five for Friday First
This is my first “Five for Friday”! I recently discovered Doodlebug’s Teaching Blog and it is amazing – it makes me want to create.
First up is my recent find at World Market. If you can believe it, this was my second time in this store ever! I found these magnetic spice tins for $1.99 that I am going to use to store paper clips and binder clips. I think they’ll look great stuck to my white board. I purchased two tins – one in lime green and the other in teal (blue and green are my go to classroom colors!).
Second is a new book that I started using with my Earth and Environmental students today in class. I am not a fan of the title of this series (we are no dummies!), but this particular book is great for review.
Third is a sneak peak of the Biome Battle projects my students created this week.
Fourth up is a picture of my Mom’s birthday cake from the surprise party we held for her this Wednesday. Happy Birthday Mom!
I had a nice little freak out moment this week when I realized how little time is left before exams. So in honor of the de-stressing we all need, last is a simple reminder: Stop and take a moment for yourself! My plans for this weekend include eating these while I enjoy the sunshine.
So what is a favorite highlight from your week? Do you have any advice for staying anxiety free this time of year?
