Teachers -Schedule ME Time During the Week

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post by Craftsy.

I was reading an article about avoiding teacher burnout and this quote resonated with me.

Carve time out during the week (not the weekend).

Yes it is weird. I’m reading about burnout before my year has even started, but it was a real issue for me last school year. I am being proactive and taking steps to stop (or at the very least minimize) the impending burnout before it begins.

I have TWO things that I am doing for *me* (gasp) this upcoming semester. I am signing up for pottery classes  as well as Pilates classes. I’ve taken wheel pottery classes before and love the “in the moment” feel it provides. It had been a huge stress reliever. Pilates is new and healthy, so hopefully it produce feel good endorphins all over the place.

If you don’t have any stress relieving YOU time planned for the upcoming school year, make a plan now!

If you are like me and have interests in photography, jewelry making, or drawing – Craftsy could be for you. They have  a Craftsy’s Dog Days of Summer Sale happening RIGHT now with 50% off ALL online classes!  This offer only lasts until Monday (August 11, 2014 at 11:59 PM MT) so check it out now. So, what are your plans for avoiding burnout?
