Memrise, Glue Sponges, and Teaching Like a Champion
This past week was low key because it was the end of this past semester and included two work days. I was in need of those two work days! Here are my random thoughts, discoveries, and accomplishments from this past week.
Memrise is a learning platform available for both android and apple devices. I just discovered it this week and it works! It is a collaboration between scientists at Oxford University and University College London.
I have been completing this workout two-three times a week and this week was no exception. Try it out! It is only 15 minutes but it is intense.
I made glue sponges. I’m skeptical.
I’ve been reading Teach Like a Champion. I feel like there are many great strategies that would raise student achievement. There are also *so* many strategies that any teacher could pick and chose what would best work for their situation.
I’m slightly behind on my goal of cleaning out my files (*ALL* my files) for this month. 6 days to go. I can do this!
I’m dreaming up an incentive for getting my files finished. What do you pamper yourself with when you finish a major task?
