What is your reaction?
Last week I shared about a chemical reaction vocabulary activity that I was creating for my students. I was inspired by this post. Well, here it is and I’ve already used it with students! It really made my students think about decomposition, synthesis, double displacement, and single replacement reaction types. This is my “Friday Freebie”.
I found this superworm speed lab idea and I adapted it for my high-schoolers. They compared scalar and vector quantities as they calculated distance, displacement, speed, and velocity of their superworms.
There may or may not have been a food battle in the teacher’s lounge this week. (Anyone else been there or done that?)
My students are working on creating “visually stunning” presentations, similar to creating their own TED talk. I can’t wait to hear them all next week! Speaking of TED talks, this is one of my favs!
I am going to “Saturday School” tomorrow to to work on my National Boards. Wish me luck!
